Recognizable by its black and white plumage and orange touches near its neck, the emperor penguin is the largest of all penguins. Living in Antarctica, it is perfectly adapted to the extreme cold and windy conditions of the ice floe.

Remarkably, it is the only bird to breed in the depths of the austral winter. While the female goes to sea to feed, the male carefully guards the egg on his feet, protected under a fold of skin called an "incubation pouch," and can go several weeks without eating. Excellent swimmers, emperor penguins dive to over 500 meters deep to catch fish, squid, and krill.

This Papo figurine realistically portrays the emperor penguin: contrasting plumage, slender silhouette, and meticulous details. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent stories about the ice floe, or teach children about the incredible adaptations of polar wildlife.

A great gift idea for curious children, marine enthusiasts, those interested in discovering ocean animals, and collectors of Papo figurines.
